This self-paced online training helps you understand what sexualized violence is, how to recognize it, how to respond, and how to seek or offer support. It’s part of North Island College’s commitment to creating safer campuses for all students.

Sexualized violence can affect anyone, and it impacts individuals and communities in serious ways. This training helps you:

  • Understand what sexualized violence is and the different ways it can show up
  • Learn about consent and healthy boundaries
  • Find out how to support someone who discloses an experience to you
  • Know where to turn if you need help — for yourself or someone else
  • Contribute to a safer, more caring NIC community

Through short modules and activities, you’ll gain tools to:

  • Recognize sexualized violence and its impacts
  • Practice consent and respect in your relationships
  • Safely intervene or offer support if someone is experiencing harm
  • Access NIC and community resources
